My name is Erica Willis. My husband and I are the youth and music pastors at Bethany Baptist Church in Plant City, FL. I had the amazing privilege of working with Aaralyn this past fall for a girls' retreat.
I cannot describe to you the impact that Aaralyn had on my girls! There are many things that set her apart from other "worship leaders", but the strongest characteristic is her uncanny ability to love and show love to those to which she is ministering. Right away, our girls felt comfortable and special when around her- so much so that they invited her to come shopping with us the next day! Not only does she have a lovely singing voice, her original lyrics spoke straight to the heart. Her songs spread a message of trusting in God, even when times are tough. That is a message that every Christian needs to hear, no matter where they are in their walk with God.
She shared her testimony with the girls during a private concert that night. She addressed issues that some girls had faced that I had felt inadequate to help resolve. Through her music and story, she gave many girls the answers for which they had been searching- not to mention a mentor who had experienced those same struggles. She took the time to speak one-on-one with several girls, and you could sense that God was using her in a special way.
If given the opportunity to hire Aaralyn again, I would jump at the opportunity! She is so alive in Christ and shares His love with such ease. I cannot imagine a better role model for my girls. She is a blessing, and I hope that others will come to experience the affects of her ministry as well.
